All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3
RE-CREATION
Jesus Christ is not merely the “reason for the season,” as many like to say around Christmas time. The Lord Jesus Christ is the reason for everything. All things, angels, heaven, earth, planets, stars, animals, mankind, were made through Him. They were made by Jesus Christ, as well as through Him, and for Him (Col 1:16).
Just as the created universe was framed by our Lord Jesus (Heb 11:3; John 1:1), so were we as recreated, regenerate souls. We are not merely saved as a spiritual phenomenon because we believed; the Lord Jesus Christ also personally saved each and every soul He has redeemed (and without Him was not any thing made that was made) by imparting faith to us, a grace of God (Eph 2:8-9) and a fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22). As the great Physician (Exo 15:26), He has surgically removed the cold, dead heart of stone from deep inside us and replaced it with a new, warm heart of flesh and given us a new spirit (Ezek 36:26).
Regeneration is a spiritual truth which begins with the certainty of the presence of our Creator and Redeemer, Jesus Christ; and springing forth from that spiritual truth, our souls engage to live unto Christ. It is written:
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.2 Corinthians 10:3-6
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Mine is the sunlight!
Mine is the morning
Born of the one light
Eden saw play!
Praise with elation,
Praise every morning,
God’s re-creation of the new day!“Morning Has Broken”
