2 Chronicles 9:2
And Solomon answered all her questions. There was nothing hidden from Solomon that he could not explain to her.
ANSWER
We’ve come a long way in the last 2,000 years since the Lord Jesus was crucified, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven; and not for the better, by any means. In what seems to be called “the church” today in America, Jesus Christ has been relegated to a question. “What are you going to do with Jesus?” some may say. Others may offer, “Won’t you give Jesus a whirl?” as if the Lord of glory was some article of clothing to try on to determine whether one likes Him or not. This must not be! Jesus isn’t a question. Jesus is the Answer. Jesus is the only Answer, as revealed in each of the 66 books of the Bible (Psa 40:7; John 5:39). The answer is not found in religion. Jesus is the only Answer, as revealed in pure and undefiled religion (Jas 1:27). The answer is not found in the perfect marriage. Jesus is the only Answer, as revealed in an imperfect marriage sanctified in Christ, by God’s grace (Eph 5:25-26). The answer is not found in the “right” church. Jesus is the only Answer, as revealed in a gathering of sinners saved by God’s grace and are committed to honor Christ and the truth of His gospel (1 Tim 3:15). Jesus is the only Answer; yet He is also the source for all the answers to our questions. As the Queen of Sheba “came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon” (Matt 12:42a), we must recognize how much greater is our Lord Jesus than Solomon (Matt 12:42b). We can ask Jesus any question and He will answer every single one of them; that is, if we are His because we’ve been saved by grace. Even His silence is an answer to some of our questions because it means we are not ready or mature enough spiritually for the details in the answer. We are wiser than Solomon if we acknowledge we are ignorant, yet have access to the Answer, Jesus Christ, who is the Answer and has all the answers. Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Jesus Christ is the Answer and
Has all answers for His saints;
On Christ we focus, He’s the plan,
Whose wisdom fills His holy reign.
